Fields of Faith: Fellowship of Christian Athletes will host Fields of Faith tonight. Guest speakers, a live band, and food are provided. It will take place in the IMPAC at Wylie High School (indoor football field) 6:30 PM
Gear Order: Athletes have been given an order form for sweatshirts and pants. Although we are offering a hoodie, they will NOT be allowed to wear it during the school day. Anyone can order the gear, and it is provided at cost. The deadline for ordering is Tuesday, October 20th. Gina Matthews is putting together a “parent-specific” order. Parents interested should contact Gina directly at Gina.Matthews@wylieisd.net
Grades: Progress reports will go out next Friday, so you should expect to be tested between now and next Friday, October 23rd (Start studying now, even if your teacher hasn’t told you about the test).
New Practice Time: Practices now start AT 6:30 a.m. Mat duties will alternate every week between upperclassmen and underclassmen. When it is your week for mat duty the start time is 6:00 a.m.
Preseason Takedown Tournament: Red River Takedown Tournament will be held on Oct. 17th at the Dallas Convention Center. You need a USA wrestling card to participate. This is a folkstyle takedown tournament and would be a good gage to see how you are doing in the pre-season getting ready for the regular season.
On the Horizon: Oct. 31st- Tentative Alpha Weight test date. 11:00 a.m. (McKinney North). Nov. 5th- Inter-squad competition (WHS aux. gym). Nov 7th- St. Marks Scrimmage (St. Marks). Nov. 10th- Season Opener, Lake Highlands Dual 6:00 p.m. (LHHS).
